Friends,
What could be the reason that SIM card is not getting registered on phone (samsung galaxy s2, for AT&T, Model - SGH i72)?

Although phone is for AT&T, it worked once with T-mobile SIM. After that upon doing a factory reset, it is not registering T-mobile SIM. Any idea what could have gone wrong and how to fix it?

(AT&T, T-Mobile - are USA GSM providers)

Thanks, Grr

Can you check if the SIM works with any other device? IF yes, then we can troubleshoot the issue. And if its not working, that means there is some issue with the SIM.

For the moment, try finding the networks manually and try to register the SIM with the network. And get back to the error message that comes after that.

@Grr Try some other network's SIM card and see if it works on the S2.

My Guess is you will need to flash a different firmware. AT&T  may have restricted it to work only in the U.S

I just need the phone to work with any GSM India Sim for now. So shall I still follow the steps in the video above?

using below (suggested by Ash, Avi), as IMEI is showing as 0/00
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1611796

Method-1

1.) Use busy box installer from the market and re-install even if u have it working-FAILED
installed below

2.) If step one doesn't work, install super su updater, and update it, then try step one again.-DONE, but 1 above still fails.
